Late last month, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds crossed a major milestone and obtained the highest peak player count of a non-Valve game on Steam, behind Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. When this happened, Battlegounds reached player counts just shy of 500,000. Now it was revealed that player numbers skyrocketed upwards of 800,000 to pass CS:GO’s long held all-time peak player count and Dota 2’s peak players today.
PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene, announced on Twitter that PUBG had surpassed Dota 2’s player count with 877,844 players compared to 842,919 today, making it the #1 game on Steam currently. Read More...
