The Game Awards 2014 were on last night and many of the year’s best games were rewarded kindly. The Game Awards 2014 was a big improvement over the train-wreck that was VGX last year. Fresh off of developing Ratchet and Clank and Resistance games, Insomniac set out to make a co-operative shooter, a genre that had been lacking throughout the lifecycle of the PS3 and Xbox 360. That shooter, titled Overstrike, was met with positive reception, most notably over its cheeky and stylish aesthetics. Flash forward a year, and instead gamers were left with Fuse, a more serious game that lacked the personality of Insomniac’s past games. With Star Wars: Battlefront only months away, EA has released brand new images of concept art from the free DLC map the Battle of Jakku, which will be available on December 1st, 2015. The Battle of Jakku is set to take place shortly after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, as the New Republic and the Empire engage in a fierce battle with its remaining forces.
