During the PlayStation Experience keynote earlier today, Bloodborne director and From Software President, Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed the Chalice Dungeon, some fans may have gotten it a bit mixed up.

After the keynote we were able to speak with  who clarified that the Chalice Dungeon is not only a mode, but it is where you will play online with other hunters in attempting to clear dungeons. These procedurally generated dungeons will differ every time you decide to enter one. Tsubasa Inaba, one of the producers of Bloodborne  went on to explain that “There are thousands of dungeons.” It looks like fans will enjoy this next From Software title if they want to play online in a less-harmful way. However, red hunters may still enter your game. It was explained that in-order to call upon help from other players online, you simply need to go to your equipment and ring a bell in the inventory which will allow a player to join you and help you which is recommended in these three-layered dungeons.

Not only is the Chalice Dungeon procedurally generated, the entire game is essentially. As you enter new areas it creates these new areas just for you. As you might have a different layout from if you join another player at the exact same area. It all leads to a unique dynamic and difficulty as you never really know when enemies are around the corner.

Bloodborne is set to release on March 24th 2015 in North America.
