Crowfall, a fantasy style Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game, has become the 15th most funded video game Kickstarter of all time and the most backed video game in the last 12 months!
Independent game developer ArtCraft Entertainment’s Kickstarter campaign for Crowfall, the “Throne War Simulator” MMO, has officially ended today. However before this happened the game managed become one of the top funded video game projects on Kickstarter. Reaching 15th on the all-time video game campaign funding list, and 46th across all categories, Crowfall certainly grabbed gamers’ attentions.
A colossal $1.76 million was pledged over the month long campaign by almost 17,000 backers. The game was likely to reach such heights after being fully funded within 72 hours of the campaign starting. ArtCraft have confirmed that they do not plan to stop gamers from backing the game early and are opening a pledging store on the official Crowfall website.
J. Todd Coleman, co-founder of ArtCrafts and creative director of Crowfall had this to say on the news:
“The support from our community has been absolutely amazing. We started strong, and we ended even stronger. It’s been more than a year since we’ve seen a video game Kickstarter break into the top 15, and we couldn’t be more excited!”
