Dead or Alive 6 released earlier this month after initially being delayed from mid-February. You would have thought this would have meant all the important features would be in the game at launch, but online lobbies were not and instead promised for later in March. Along with the news that a new update is coming later this week, it has been revealed that lobbies have now been delayed even further.
Team Ninja announced the upcoming update version 1.03a for Dead or Alive 6 via the official Twitter account for the game, detailing a few changes the patch will bring, as well as the delay of lobbies as seen below.
The update (Ver.1.03a) for 3/29 includes DLC add-ons, game balance adjustments & bug fixes.
Team NINJA is working on online lobbies for all platforms & still requires polish;

It is definitely great to see game balance adjustments for Dead or Alive 6, as fighters always could use balance after release. However, the fact that lobbies have been delayed yet again is a major disappointment. Being able to take the game online to play with friends rather than random players really takes a lot out of the online experience, with them initially being promised for March.
Instead, this update is bringing new DLC add-ons, though that likely is not something that led to the lobbies being pushed back further. It is understandable that Team Ninja wants to get the lobbies right before launch, but they really need to deliver soon for the fans before they start to move onto other games.
