The Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 will be different from the Xbox One version that Microsoft has been showing off lately to everyone.

Playground Games creative director, Ralph Fulton, shared more details about Forza Horizon 2’s Xbox 360 version to Digital Spy. He said “they are different games inspired by the same ideas”. This is unlike with Titanfall where both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions all had identical content. The only differences being the graphics which were better on Xbox One.

He didn’t say much more on how the Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 is different from the Xbox One version. He did say however only the Xbox One version is capable of the dynamic weather system and and Drivatars. This is something that cannot be achieved on the Xbox 360. The setting for the games will remain the same, but I’m guessing the open-world environment might be smaller on Xbox 360.

Players will probably notice a big difference in the graphics too. Forza Horizon 2 is using the Forza Motorsport 5 engine on Xbox One. On Xbox 360, it’s using the original Forza Horizon engine. The gameplay might be different as well with Playground Games focusing on Xbox One and Sumo Digital developing the Xbox 360 version.

Forza Horizon 2 comes out September 30th.
