Grand Theft Auto is a very popular game franchise. There are always theories abound as to when the next one is coming out. Professional troll and gaming analyst for Wedbush Morgan, Michael Pachter, has reiterated his view on when the next GTA V will hit store shelves.
Pachter had this to say: “We are confident that Take-Two will release GTA in either 2011 or 2012,” he wrote, adding that BioShock Infinite should be hitting in 2012 as well. Pachter added that it’s likely that Take-Two and Rockstar will wait to announce the game until the middle of 2011, either via Take-Two’s March earnings report or at E3.
This should likely be taken with a grain of salt considering that Pachter also predicted that GTA V would be coming by the end of 2010.
We will ultimately see Grand Theft Auto V at some point and yes, the wait has been long. Hopefully it will be worth it, after a string of successful titles from Rockstar you can help but wonder what they’ll do next for this signature franchise.
