It’s time to help out Professor Willow with some special research tasks in Pokemon GO! When the newest event, Water Festival 2022 starts on May 12th at 10:00 local time, you’ll need to make sure that you’re ready to get out and about to complete all of these new tasks!

What Tasks Can You Complete for the Water Festival in Pokemon GO
As you get into the world and start spinning PokeStops, collecting items, and getting new information, you’ll get a whole new set of tasks from Professor Willow, that offer some great Water-type Pokemon, as well as items.

As you can see, there are a lot of reasons to get out and about, but the main draw here is going to be Scarf Lapras, the newest event-specific Pokemon to get your hands on. With a Max CP of 1131, you’ll have the chance to get your hands on a pretty powerful Water-type Pokemon in the process.
You’ll also find a spattering of different Timed Research Tasks that will be available throughout the event, so you’ll need to make sure you’re ready to take those on from May 12th at 10:00 am until May 20th at 8:00 pm local time.

Once you have completed all of these tasks, you’ll be rewarded with a Scarf Lapras Encounter, x1000 Stardust, and 1000XP! Niantic seems to be listening to players, as this is one of the easier Timed Events in recent history.
