We are only two days away from the release of The Force Awakens, or really one day for those attending the early showings on Thursday. That means that plenty of gamers will be wanting to play some Star Wars related games and a sale on the recently released Star Wars Battlefront is a very good option for that on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Star Wars Battlefront is the revival of the popular series from the PS2 era, this time coming from DICE. The game is a lot of fun, though somewhat lacking in content. For those that didn’t want to pay the full $60, this week’s sales may just be enough to get you to pull the trigger.
Star Wars Battlefront is on sale for 33% off the retail price on both the Xbox Games Store and PlayStation Store this week, bringing the price of the regular game down to $40.19. The Deluxe Edition is also on sale for 33% off on both for $46.89, with the Ultimate Edition being 25% off at $89.99.
While Star Wars Battlefront may have have been somewhat lacking at release with content, we have already gotten the free map the Battle of Jakku, which actually serves as a prequel to how the newly introduced planet of Jakku got to where it is in The Force Awakens.
More content is set to come as well, so it’s hard to say this is not a solid price for now, especially with the movie coming out. There is also the option to get it for $39.99 temporarily at GameStop if you are interested in a physical copy, but you can’t beat this price if you are looking for a digital version of the game to turn on when you have free time here and there.
