This has really not been a very good week for Xbox Live with it already having one downtime, though the issues were fixed pretty quickly. However, those who might be looking to do some online gaming tonight might be out of luck as Xbox Live is down again for a number of gamers right now.
People first reported issues with Xbox Live online over the last hour or so, as players could no longer sign in or access Xbox Live as a whole. With the current generation of gaming being so reliant on online, this is certainly a major issue.
The official Xbox Live status website currently says that “Core Services” are limited, specifically dealing with signing in, creating, managing, or recovering an account, and search.
The website also has an update on the situation, which says:
“Hey Xbox members. Are you having issues maintaining your connection to Xbox Live or using party chat? We’re aware of this issue, and we’re working to find a fix right away! Thanks for your patience! We’ll update you as soon as we know more.”
Hopefully this situation will be resolved quickly, as I’m sure plenty of people were hoping to spend their Friday night playing the open beta for The Division that went live last night.
Update: The official Xbox Live status website says that all Xbox Live services are back to normal status and should be working.
